The Ertel Funeral Home, located at 42 North Market Street in Cortez, Colorado, is a 1936 funeral home designed by Denver architect Walter H. Simon. An interesting interpretation of the Mission style that incorporates Pueblo Revival elements, the building exemplifies the regional architectural vocabulary of the American Southwest in the early twentieth century. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
