The Faribault County Courthouse in Blue Earth, Minnesota, is a Richardsonian Romanesque structure completed in December 1892 at a cost of $70,000. Built from Kasota limestone, red brick, and rusticated sandstone with a clay tile roof, the building showcases signature features of the style: entrance arches resting on short columns with foliated capitals and a satire head gargoyle positioned between them. Its most striking element is a seven-story corner tower. The courthouse was expanded westward in 1974–75 with a modern county office building wing designed by A.J. Ross & Assoc. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
