Fengguo Temple is a Buddhist temple founded in 1020 during the Liao dynasty in what is now Yixian, Liaoning Province, China. Though once extensive, only two halls, two gates, and a decorative arch remain standing today. The temple's most significant structure is the Daxiongbao Hall, dating to 1020, which houses seven large Buddha sculptures from the Liao period alongside smaller devotional figures. The temple has borne several names throughout its history—"Xianxi Temple" during the Liao dynasty, "Seven Buddhas Temple" in the subsequent Liaoning period, and "Dafengguo Temple" under the Jin dynasty. Recognized as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level, Fengguo Temple represents an important surviving example of Liao dynasty Buddhist architecture and sculpture.
