Mingjiao Temple, a Buddhist temple in Hefei's Luyang District, was originally constructed in the early sixth century, though its long history has been punctuated by repeated destruction and reconstruction owing to war and natural disasters. Formerly known as Iron Buddha Temple, the structure exemplifies Chinese architectural traditions. The temple was substantially renovated and redecorated in 2015, restoring it to its current state. It holds designation as a National Key Buddhist Temple in the Han Chinese Area, reflecting its religious and cultural significance.
