Trinity Church, formerly known as the First Congregational Church, stands in Waltham, Massachusetts as a striking example of nineteenth-century ecclesiastical design. Built in 1870 for a congregation founded in 1820, the structure was designed by architect Thomas Silloway and merges Romanesque and Colonial Revival elements in an architecturally distinctive composition. The building was recognized for its historical significance when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
