The Florida Tropical House is a Streamline Moderne beach house on Lake Michigan's Indiana shore in Beverly Shores, built in 1933 as an exhibition home for the Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago. Designed by architect Robert Law Weed in the Modernist style and painted a distinctive Floridian pink, the house was conceived to blur the boundary between interior and exterior living spaces. Originally part of the Homes of Tomorrow Exhibition, it survives as one of five World's Fair Houses from 1933 in the area and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 as a contributing property of the Century of Progress Architectural District.
