Perched on a 400-metre cliff overlooking the Black Sea near Baidarsky Pass in Foros, Ukraine, the Church of Christ's Resurrection (also known as the Foros Church) is a striking blend of Russian Revival and Byzantine Revival architecture designed by Nikolai Chagin and completed in 1892. The church's commanding clifftop location has made it a popular tourist destination, offering dramatic views across the Black Sea littoral. Recognized as architectural heritage of national importance in Ukraine and listed in Russia's federal cultural heritage register, the building exemplifies the ornamental stylistic synthesis favored in late nineteenth-century Russian ecclesiastical design.
