Franklin City Hall, located at 128 E. Main Street in Franklin, Idaho, is a modest one-room, one-story brick structure completed in 1904. Built during a transitional period in Idaho's institutional architecture, the building exemplifies the shift from Italianate to Colonial Revival forms that characterized the 1890s through 1905. Its design reflects the stylistic preferences of southeast Idaho's Mormon communities, which favored Colonial Revival architecture throughout the twentieth century's first half. Beyond its architectural significance as a well-executed example of early regional brickwork, the building holds historical importance as a local expression of the evolving distinction between church and civil government in Mormon political and religious thought at the turn of the century. It was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
