The Fred B. Jones House is a Prairie School cottage designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1901 as part of the Penwern estate on Lake Delavan, Wisconsin. Constructed of board and batten, the main house features gable roofs, a living room oriented toward the lake, and broad arches, including one spanning a porte-cochère. Built for a Chicago businessman as a weekend retreat and social venue, the house was part of a larger complex that Wright designed entirely, including a boathouse (1900), gatehouse (1903), and stable (1903). Though designed during the development of Wright's ideas and emphasizing horizontal forms and integration with the natural landscape, these buildings lack the characteristic flat roofs and clean lines associated with his mature Prairie Style. The boathouse, which burned in 1978, was reconstructed around 2005. The estate is listed on both the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places.
