Gandzasar is a 13th-century Armenian Apostolic cathedral in Martakert Province, Azerbaijan, near the village of Vank in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Founded in 1201, it stands as one of the finest examples of Armenian architecture from the mid-1200s and has served as the most historically significant church of Artsakh since its establishment. The structure is particularly renowned among scholars for its richly decorated dome, a hallmark of its architectural distinction. The monastery remains designated as a cultural heritage monument in Azerbaijan.
