A gatehouse with integrated commercial and residential spaces in the Amsterdam School style, located on Avenhornstraat in the Tuindorp Nieuwendam neighborhood of Amsterdam. The structure features distinctive heavy wooden columns within its archway—a characteristic detail of the Amsterdam School's expressive use of materials—and originally housed two shops with apartments above. The building stands as a Rijksmonument (protected national monument) and exemplifies the architectural vocabulary of early twentieth-century Amsterdam's garden suburb development.
