Located at Purmerplein 22–34 in Amsterdam, this Amsterdam School residential block combines ground-floor commercial space beneath a broad canopy with apartments above, forming part of the distinctive central octagonal plaza of Tuindorp Nieuwendam. The building exemplifies the Amsterdam School's characteristic approach to working-class housing and community planning, integrating retail and residential functions within a unified architectural expression. Now a protected national monument, it remains an important component of this early twentieth-century garden suburb's urban design.
