Guards' Cemetery at Lesbœufs, in the Somme region of France, is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery designed by architect Herbert Baker and established in 1916 during the First World War. The cemetery commemorates soldiers, particularly those of the Guards regiments, who fell in the brutal fighting around the Somme. Baker, a prominent architect of the era, brought his architectural vision to this and numerous other war cemeteries, establishing dignified resting places for the fallen amid the devastated landscape of the Western Front.
