The Hamblen County Courthouse stands at 511 W. 2nd North Street in Morristown, Tennessee, serving as the seat of county government since its completion in 1874. Designed by architect A.C. Bruce, the building exemplifies Second Empire and Italianate styles characteristic of mid-nineteenth-century civic architecture. Constructed between 1873 and 1874, it has undergone expansions and modifications throughout its history. The courthouse was recognized for its historical significance when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The front lawn features a Civil War Trails marker commemorating Morristown's Civil War history and the 1864 Battle of Morristown, alongside the Hamblen County Veterans Memorial, completed on Veterans Day 2019.
