The Harrington-Smith Block stands at 18–25 Hanover Street in downtown Manchester, New Hampshire, a Queen Anne-style commercial building constructed in 1881 to designs by architect John T. Fanning. Built in brick and stone, this expansive structure served as the city's principal performance venue under its former names, the Strand Theater and Manchester Opera House, and housed the offices of the Manchester Union Leader, New Hampshire's major daily newspaper. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, the building remains a landmark of the city's cultural and commercial heritage.
