Located in Taos, New Mexico, the Harwood Museum of Art is a Pueblo Revival Style structure founded in 1923 by the Harwood Foundation, making it the second oldest art museum in the state. Purchased by the University of New Mexico in 1935, the museum has expanded over time to encompass an auditorium, library, and additional exhibition galleries. Its collections feature a wide range of Hispanic works and visual arts from significant regional movements, including pieces by artists from the Taos Society of Artists, the Taos Moderns, and contemporary creators. The museum is recognized on both the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places.
