Designed by architect Isaac Rapp and completed in 1917, the New Mexico Museum of Art stands one block from Santa Fe's historic plaza as a prominent example of Pueblo Revival Style architecture. Originally known as The Museum of Fine Arts, the institution was renamed in 2007 and now operates as a state-governed art museum, forming part of the larger Museum of New Mexico, a collection of four state-run museums in the city.
