The Haseki Hürrem Sultan Hamamı is a sixteenth-century Ottoman bathhouse in Istanbul commissioned by Hürrem Sultan, consort of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent. Designed by the renowned architect Mimar Sinan and completed in 1556, it was built on the site of the ancient Baths of Zeuxippus to serve the religious community of the nearby Hagia Sophia. The hammam exemplifies Ottoman architectural tradition in its functional design as a public bathing facility.
