Located in Wilmington, Delaware, the Henry Townsend Building is a four-story commercial and residential structure completed in 1913–1914, exemplifying the Beaux-Arts and Renaissance Revival styles of the early twentieth century. Built of brick with a limestone facade, the five-bay rectangular building features ornate detailing including a denticulated cornice supported by four large brackets characteristic of Beaux-Arts design. From 1922 to 1964, its ground floor housed a W. T. Grant Department Store, reflecting the building's role in the city's commercial life. Recognized for its architectural and historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
