At 146 metres, the Hochhaus Uptown München is Munich's tallest skyscraper, a 38-storey office tower completed in 2004 in the Moosach district and designed by Ingenhoven Architects. The structure is distinguished by a glass facade that wraps around it like a tensioned membrane, with circular ventilation elements—individually opening windows—that permit natural air circulation while allowing ambient sound to penetrate even the upper floors. The main tower anchors a campus development comprising four seven-storey flanking buildings and a fifth residential structure containing 139 apartments, all connected by a transparent-roofed atrium.
