Built in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps within Sequoia National Park in Tulare County, the Hockett Meadow Ranger Station exemplifies National Park Service Rustic style. The three-room log cabin stands in the extreme southern reaches of the park near Mineral King, replacing an earlier structure from 1906 that had served ranger Charlie Blossom from its completion until his death in 1916. The original station was demolished in 1969.
