St. Nicholas' Church in Bad Wilsnack, Germany, is a brick Gothic structure built on the proceeds of pilgrimage revenue during the late medieval period. The church was constructed following the miraculous survival of three consecrated hosts in a fire that devastated the town in 1383—an event that transformed Bad Wilsnack into a major pilgrimage destination for nearly two centuries. The relics attracted sufficient donations to fund the construction of this substantial ecclesiastical building, which remains an architectural heritage monument in Brandenburg. The venerated hosts were destroyed during the Protestant Reformation in 1558, but the brick Gothic church they enabled continues to stand as a testament to the commercial and spiritual power of medieval pilgrimage.
