The Holy Saviour Monastery of Julfa was an Armenian Apostolic monastery situated in the Julfa District of Azerbaijan, positioned northwest of Jugha cemetery at the terminus of a gorge, approximately three kilometers distant from the cemetery on a mountainside. The monastery occupied a dramatic landscape where the Araks River flowed at the foot of the Magharda mountain range in the monastery's southern reaches, exemplifying the Armenian architectural tradition characteristic of the region's religious structures.
