Hotel Washington, a 17-story steel frame and masonry structure completed in 1912 in Indianapolis, exemplifies the Beaux-Arts style with Chicago School influences. The rectangular building features a three-story limestone base surmounted by characteristic large Chicago-style windows on the fifth through thirteenth floors, while arched openings crown the seventeenth level. Three bays wide, the tower has served variously as a hotel, apartments, and office space since its construction. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, it stands within the Washington Street–Monument Circle Historic District.
