Built in 1925–26 for A. Y. Milam, a vice president of the Davis Islands development company, this Mediterranean Revival residence in Tampa was designed by local architect Franklin O. Adams. The house draws inspiration from Italian Renaissance architecture and is organized around a central courtyard, earning recognition as perhaps the most fully realized example of Mediterranean Revival style on Davis Islands. Described by the Florida Bureau of Historic Preservation as "graciously symmetrical and well-detailed without being gaudy or ostentatious," the house survived Milam's departure following the collapse of Florida's 1920s real estate boom. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, the property has since been expanded with a matching addition to an adjoining lot.
