Hus' House, a Hussite church in Prague's Vršovice district, represents an early application of modernist construction techniques in the city. Designed by Karel Truksa and completed in 1930, the building exemplifies Czech Constructivism through its innovative use of pre-stressed concrete and brick panels—among the first of their kind in Prague. The structure was erected in less than a year, a testament to the efficiency of its construction method. A distinctive "lighthouse" tower crowns the building, topped with a chalice and cross, symbols of the Hussite faith. Now recognized as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, Hus' House stands as a significant intersection of religious architecture, avant-garde design, and engineering innovation.
