The Eidgah Mosque, also known as the Id Gah Mosque, is a Sunni mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan, located southeast of the Wazir Akbar Khan neighborhood near Ghazi Stadium. Built during the late 19th and early 20th centuries under the rule of Emir Abdur Rahman Khan and his son Habibullah Khan, the mosque has served as a significant venue for religious observance and state ceremony. Beyond daily prayers and the major Islamic festivals of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, it hosted coronations, funerals, parades, and other official government functions. In 1919, King Amanullah Khan announced Afghanistan's full independence from this mosque. Today it remains a notable tourist attraction in the capital.
