Imamzadeh Muhammad al-Mahruq is a mosque and mausoleum in Nishapur, northeastern Iran, housing the remains of Imamzadeh Muhammad Mahruq ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd ibn Ali and Imamzadeh Ibrahim ibn Ahmad ibn Musa al-Kazim. Built in brick and mortar, the structure dates to the Timurid and Safavid eras, initially commissioned by Amir Kamal-ol Din during Sultan Husayn Bayqara's reign. The mosque underwent significant reconstruction during the Qajar period under Farrokhseyr Mirza, and again in the twentieth century when Persian artisan Mohammad Hossein Akhavian undertook extensive brickwork restoration. Now registered as Iranian national heritage, the building reflects multiple centuries of pious renovation and reflects the enduring spiritual significance of imamzadeh shrines in Persian Islamic tradition.
