Standing 29 meters tall on a hilltop overlooking the historic port of Jaffa in Tel Aviv, the Jaffa Light is a lighthouse that operated continuously from its construction in 1865 until 1966. Though now deactivated, it remains a daylight navigation aid for vessels approaching the old harbor. Its prominent position above the ancient port and long operational history make it a distinctive landmark in the historical quarter of the city.
