Karanlik Kümbet, a historic mausoleum located on Gülahmet Street in Erzurum's Yakutiye district, dates to 1308, marking the twilight of Seljuk power in Anatolia. Known colloquially as the "Dark Tomb" and also identified as Emir Sadrettin Kümbeti or Sadrettin Konevi Türbesi, the structure exemplifies the transitional architecture of its era, blending Anatolian Seljuk and emerging Ottoman traditions. Constructed of stone and brick in the distinctive gonbad form—a domed mausoleum type prevalent in medieval Islamic architecture—the kümbet stands opposite the Derviş Ağa Mosque, anchoring a notable ecclesiastical precinct within the historic city.
