Located in Sauvo, Southwest Finland, Karuna Church is a stone edifice designed by Finnish architect Josef Stenbäck and completed in 1910. The building exemplifies the National Romantic style infused with Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) features characteristic of early twentieth-century Finnish architecture. Its bell tower, positioned at the southeast corner, houses bells cast in 1689, while the interior accommodates 480 worshippers and features altar paintings by Ilmari Launis. The church is protected as a heritage building in the Built Heritage Register; its predecessor, an older wooden structure, has been preserved at Helsinki's Seurasaari open-air museum.
