Kentuck Knob, a single-family residence in Stewart Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the Usonian style and completed in 1956 for I. N. Hagan, owner of a local ice-cream firm, and his wife Bernardine. Sited on the southern slope of a knoll overlooking the Youghiogheny River gorge, the house features a distinctive hexagonal floor plan with two wings partially surrounding a courtyard and converging at a hexagonal core. Constructed of redwood and locally quarried stone with an overhanging copper roof and two exterior terraces, the 2,300-square-foot interior contains seven rooms in open plan, including bedrooms partially embedded into the hillside. The Hagans occupied the home until 1986, when Peter Palumbo acquired the property; after a subsequent fire, the Palumbo family renovated the residence. The estate, now featuring a sculpture garden and visitor center (completed 2003), has been open to the public since 1996 and is designated a National Historic Landmark.
