Khtzkonk Monastery was a monastic ensemble of five Armenian churches built between the seventh and thirteenth centuries in the Armenian Bagratid kingdom, located in a gorge formed by the Digor River near the town of Digor in what is now Kars Province, Turkey, approximately 19 kilometres west of the Armenian border. The site represents a significant example of Armenian architectural tradition, developed over centuries as a religious and cultural center during the medieval period.
