Horomos, also known as Horomosivank, Ghoshavank, Hochavank, or Khosha Vank, is a medieval Armenian monastic complex located approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Ani in present-day Kars Province, Turkey. Founded in 901, the monastery exemplifies Armenian architectural traditions and once served as one of the most significant spiritual and cultural religious centers in medieval Armenia and among the largest in the Christian East. Its ensemble of churches, chapels, and tombs constituted a major monastic foundation, though the complex was abandoned and fell into ruin following the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
