Kimball Castle, a 2½-story medieval-style structure in Shingle style architecture, stands on a hillside overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, New Hampshire. Built as the former summer estate of railroad magnate Benjamin Ames Kimball, it originally anchored a 300-acre property, though much of the original grounds has since been subdivided or preserved as conservation land by the town. The castle's 20.1-acre parcel remains privately owned and separate from the Charlotte Kimball trust. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building sustained catastrophic damage from a fire on August 27, 2025, and has been determined a total loss, with demolition anticipated.
