The Kingsbury House stands at 137 Suffolk Street in the Chestnut Hill section of Newton, Massachusetts, representing one of the few surviving First Period houses in the town. The 2½-story timber-frame structure may incorporate elements dating to as early as 1686, though its exterior styling suggests early 18th-century construction, when an older structure was likely refashioned or rebuilt. The house gained its name from the Kingsbury family, significant landowners in the Chestnut Hill area during the 19th century. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, it was subsequently included in an expansion of the Old Chestnut Hill Historic District in 1990.
