The Kottaimedu Mosque, also known as the Kottai Hidayathul Islam Safia Jamath Mosque, stands in Kottaimedu within Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu, India, approximately one kilometre from Coimbatore Junction railway station. Originally built in 1776, the mosque was reconstructed in 1910 in the Islamic architectural style. A distinctive feature of the structure is its underground water tank, constructed for wudu (ritual ablution), reflecting both practical design and religious function.
