Kulttuuritalo, or House of Culture, is a modernist arts center designed by Alvar Aalto and completed in 1957 in the Alppila district of Helsinki. One of Aalto's principal works, the building serves as a concert hall and cultural venue, showcasing the architect's characteristic approach to modern design. Recognized for its architectural significance, Kulttuuritalo is protected both by Helsinki's city plan and by Finnish national heritage law. In July 2026, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site alongside twelve other works by Aalto, cementing its place among Finland's most important twentieth-century buildings.
