The LaBarre House, built in 1909 near Napoleonville in Assumption Parish, Louisiana, exemplifies the Queen Anne Free Classic style, a late manifestation of the Queen Anne mode that emerged in the early twentieth century. Located at 4371 Louisiana Highway 1, approximately 1.7 miles southeast of Napoleonville, the residence reflects the architectural tastes of the early 1900s. The Queen Anne Free Classic variant, as distinguished in period architectural scholarship, represents a refinement of earlier Queen Anne exuberance—retaining the style's characteristic irregularity and varied detailing while moving toward greater restraint and symmetry. The house was recognized for its historical and architectural significance when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
