The Longmire Administration Building, completed in 1928 in Pierce County, Washington, serves as both an administrative center and visitor facility within the National Park Service system. Designed by Ernest A. Davidson and Thomas Chalmers Vint of the National Park Service, the structure exemplifies the National Park Service rustic architectural style that characterized federal park development during the early twentieth century. This approach emphasized harmonious integration with natural surroundings through the use of native materials and forms sympathetic to the landscape. The building is recognized as a contributing property on the National Register of Historic Places.
