Moored in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, the Louise-Catherine is a converted coal barge designed by Le Corbusier in collaboration with Kunio Maekawa as a floating homeless shelter. Now a registered historic monument of Paris, the vessel had fallen into disuse before undergoing renovation as a cultural center—a project interrupted when it sank following the Seine's flooding in early 2018.
