Designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre is a multi-functional complex in Lucerne, Switzerland that opened in stages between 1998 and 2000. The venue integrates a concert hall, art museum, conference facilities, and restaurants beneath a striking 100-by-100-metre roof. The concert hall, which opened on 18 August 1998, was engineered with particular attention to acoustics. Standing 21 metres high, the structure serves as the central venue for the annual Lucerne Festival and regularly hosts major cultural events.
