Lynncote is a historic Tudor Revival estate located near Tryon in Polk County, North Carolina. Designed by architect Erle G. Stillwell and constructed in 1927–1928, this two-story stone dwelling features characteristic period details including half-timbering, leaded-glass casement windows, and an off-center entrance pavilion across eight bays. The house was built upon the foundation of an earlier 1895 dwelling that had burned in 1916. The property's contributing resources extend beyond the main residence to include the landscape, a workshop dating to circa 1910 and remodeled circa 1928, and Lynncote Lodge (1925–1926), a companion structure designed by architect Harold Perry Erskine. The estate was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
