The Chiesa della Madonna Assunta is a Sicilian Baroque church completed in 1626, situated on Via Maqueda in Palermo's ancient Kalsa quarter. Built as a Roman Catholic house of worship, the structure exemplifies the ornate Baroque style that flourished in Sicily during the seventeenth century. Its location on Via Maqueda places it a block south of the Palazzo Sant'Elia, anchoring it within the historic urban fabric of central Palermo.
