The Maiden's Tower, also known as Leander's Tower, is a tower built in 1110 and located on a small islet 200 meters from the coast of Üsküdar at the southern entrance of the Bosphorus strait in Istanbul, Turkey. Designed in Ottoman architectural style, this iconic structure has served multiple functions over the centuries and now operates as both a restaurant and lighthouse. The tower appeared on the reverse of the Turkish 10 lira banknote from 1966 to 1981, reflecting its significance as a national landmark.
