The Manila Jai Alai Building was a Streamline Moderne fronton designed by American architects Welton Becket and Walter Wurdeman in 1940, where jai alai games were played in Manila, Philippines. Considered the finest Art Deco building in Asia, it remarkably survived the Battle of Manila during World War II. The structure was demolished in 2000 on the orders of Manila's mayor, Lito Atienza, despite public protests, ostensibly to clear land for a Manila Hall of Justice that was never constructed.
