The Maristán of Granada was a hospital erected in 14th-century Granada during the Nasrid dynasty, exemplifying Islamic architectural traditions. Built when Granada remained a major center of Andalusian Islamic culture, the structure served the medical and charitable functions characteristic of bimaristans—specialized hospitals that were hallmarks of medieval Islamic cities. Though demolished in the 19th century, the building's historical significance has been recognized through its designation as a bien de interés cultural (heritage site of cultural interest), preserving its memory within Granada's rich architectural legacy.
