Located at 330 C Street SW in Washington, D.C., the Mary E. Switzer Memorial Building is a federally owned office structure designed in the Egyptian Revival style by architects Charles Klauder and Louis A. Simon, completed in September 1940. Originally planned as headquarters for the Railroad Retirement Board, the building instead first housed the United States Department of War. In 1972, Congress renamed it in honor of Mary E.
