Monterey is a historic house built around 1850 near Odessa in New Castle County, Delaware. This two-story brick dwelling blends Georgian and Greek Revival styles, organized on a full Georgian plan with a center hall and double-pile layout. The five-bay façade features a one-bay entrance portico topped with a flat roof and balustraded parapet. The main structure includes an original rear ell and a frame addition, complemented by a collection of nineteenth-century outbuildings—a smokehouse, carriage house, ice house, granary, and octagonal frame privy—that survive on the property. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, the house exemplifies mid-nineteenth-century domestic architecture in Delaware.
