Built in 1895 in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, the Mt. Horeb Opera Block is a imposing three-story brick structure combining Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival architectural styles. Originally designed as a multipurpose public venue, the building has functioned variously as a theatre, movie house, and retail space. Its substantial masonry construction and ornamental detailing reflect the architectural ambitions of late-nineteenth-century small-town civic life. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 and appears on the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places.
